The Sixers bolstered their lineup by adding to quality players to backup an already solid starting lineup.
Corey Maggette joins the Sixers and will play backup SG to Iguadala. Averaging almost 15 points per game last year, Maggette comes as a bargain at only $2.5m a year to really bring some depth to this team. His numbers will certainly drop as he's not in the starting lineup like he was with the Clippers. But anytime we have the luxury of bringing in a starter from elsewhere to serve as a backup for us, it strengthens our team.
The newest acquisition is 7'3 center Zydrunas Ilgauskas. Big Z's acquisition brings some question as to who may be starting at center. Dalembert will start the season as the start, but if injury sets in or Sammy gets cold...Ilguaskas will be more than capable of playing the center position for us.
By drafting a backup PG and already solid depth at SF, adding Maggette and Ilgauskas at SG and C...management is building a team with depth to survive a long season without losing a beat when the bench is called upon.

I love both these signings but especially Corey.... I will always be a huge fan of his in real life and will always hope best from him.... that being said and 2.5 mil man i wish i bid on him....thats a steal and great second option off the bench.... Big Z although getting older is still a very capable player and would have no doubt that he could start for you or maybe 1/3 of the other teams in this league.... You lost Thomas but i love the acquisitions of corey and big Z.
