OK, I'm half tempted to screw with my depth chart to prove you wrong, but I just won't trade him if he's going to be hella undervalued. It's a bad sample size. Hell, Weaver was B- B scoring 4 years ago and scored 14 points a game as a starter...he's B A- now, I'm pretty sure he would be around 20... I know what you mean, but remember the first thing you told me in PSBL about the value of players? It was "And don't base everything strictly on those ratings because it's really the stats that matter and that give you the real feel for the player".. Well, maybe not a straight quote, but that was more or less it.

Well, maybe not a straight quote, but that was more or less it. Fair enough as far as needing to see something more than good ratings, but PSBL had variable scouting that could be blatantly wrong. NBL's are accurate, they just might not tell the whole picture. Anyway, I'm just going to put my money where my mouth is and start Weaver next sim...and see what happens. It's a little risk, but hey, it could be interesting for discussion.

No kidding about it...it'd be pretty tough to do worse than that...Melo is out for 6 days anyway, I didn't realize that...so Weaver will be playing SF. The plus with Weaver really isn't his scoring really...it's better handling than most SF have and good defense with still A potential. At any rate, I believe that he can do well, and we'll see this sim.

Evidently it was possible to do worse...0-5
Looking at it...I can see my depth chart wasn't put in though.

I think we're seeing the talent levels rise to some degree as a result of the ATC spending sprees of the past. A few years of the new ATC limits should correct it to some degree.
That said, that is why a guy like Weaver isn't a "superstar". He does still have the A potential which is nice, so he might get there. However, he compares very well with Caron Butler with only age being the difference, and I didn't even have one person ask about him when he was on the trade block in the off-season. If I made Caron an option he might score 20 a game, but it would be pushing it I think.

I will acknowledge that I can't say "Weaver IS a Superstar", but I was thinking that it's not out of line to say that "Weaver can be a Superstar".
