TOP 10
#1 : GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS
The champs are #1 for now. Were the best team all year? Probably not but they won it all in the end and that's what matters. The Warriors added some nice pieces to the squad this year in Gerald Green, Wayne Simien, Antonie Walker, and others. Making this team only stronger then they were last year. Redd, Baron, Ellis all still there watch out for the Warriors once again. Maybe our first repeat champion?
#2 : DENVER NUGGETS
The Nuggets had an amazing season last year going 70-12 I do believe and having one of the best seasons ever. The same team is still there but older? Will the age catch up with them? It didn't last year but AI, J.R. Smith, Dirk, Artest, Camby all still there for the Nuggets I expect them to still win 60 games or so and be a big force in the league.
#3 : NEW YORK KNICKS
The Knicks the Eastern Conference champs are back and added a couple pieces to there squad this time around. Chris Wilcox, and Big Shot Robert Horry all apart of this Knicks squad now and when you got Robert Horry on your team, your team defintley has a shot at making the finals! Koufos is another year older and experienced I expect the high scoring Knicks to keep this up.
#4 : CHARLOTTE BOBCATS
The Bobcats didn't add to much in the off-season but added a key man in Richard Hamilton and drafted Derrick Rose's teammate Chris Douglas-Roberts from Memphis. Speaking of Rose this kid is finally going to start for them and there is such a buzz around this kid I expect him to make a big time impact. The Bobcats are loaded with young talent this could be the year they make the championship splash.
#5 : MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES
The young talent Grizzlies had an incredible year last year. From #1 pick to the #2 seed in the Western Conference no one saw that coming. There still loaded with talent with Mayo, Conley Jr., Gasol, Hakim Warrick among others as well. The Grizzlies should be a very tough team to beat this season, we'll see if they can keep up there magic from last season.
#6 : SACRAMENTO KINGS
A very talented group here in Sacramento, led by Carmelo Anthony who is only getting better, and Kevin Martin. The Kings will look to get back into the group of Western Conference elite. They fell a little bit last year and it seemed like no Dirk and No Artest really hindered them a little bit. I think they should get a little better this year.
#7 : CLEVELAND CAVALIERS
LeBron's squad has only gotten stronger over this off-season with adding two great PG's in Sebashitan Telfair and Chris Quinn. Boobie Gibson will be moving to SG for this squad as well. LeBron has gotten more and more talent around him. As long as LeBron can dominate for these guys they will always be mentioned as one of the best. We'll see how all these new faces gel together.
#8 : ATLANTA HAWKS
The Hawks are young up coming team who have made some noise the last couple seasons. Deron Williams and Joe Johnson lead this team of young talent. We'll see how all these young guys continue to develop and see if they can make a big impact for this team.
#9 : PHOENIX SUNS
The Suns are still a great team but Steve Nash has retired leaving this team in the hands of Barbosa. Are they still going to be the same? They still got a boat load of talent with Marion and Amare, so they should still be one of the best teams in the West.
#10 : SAN ANTONIO SPURS
The Spurs are still the same old Spurs. They added a big piece in Eddy Curry this off-season which should only make this team better. Manu, Duncan, Curry, and Parker is a pretty scary foursome. We'll see how they contend in the West with those big 4.
JUST OUTSIDE THE TOP 10, SLEEPER TEAMS!
11. WASHINGTON WIZARDS:
12. UTAH JAZZ:
13. SEATTLE SUPERSONICS:
14. PHILADELPHIA 76ERS:
15. NEW JERSEY NETS:
If your not on this list, your team needs to step it up! Good luck to everyone this season.
(Some teams like Rockets, Celtics, I did not include since they dont have a full roster. If they dont want to be active and just leave there team with nothing, then they dont need to be on the rankings.)
