Associated Press It's a little early in the season to start talking draft, but that hasn't stopped University of Louisville standout from forcing the action. After debate last season, Samuels has made his intentions clear; he is heading to the NBL. C Samardo Samuels, Louisville - Samuels is a beast inside, and with a huge frame and decent height, he has been able to overpower bigger players his entire career. For a big guy, he is elusive and can finish at the rim with grace. He also rebounds well by simply taking up space and muscling down the boards. He isn't a shot blocker, and can get too physical on defense a lot of times leading to foul trouble. The knock on him out of high school was that he lacked a perimeter game, and he pretty much still does. His range goes out about 10-12 feet, but even from there, don't count on a high percentage. He is far from a great player, but without much left to prove in college, Samuels is ready to play at the next level. Stats: 22 years old, 6'9, 250 lbs NBL Comparison: Elton Brand Draft Projection: Top 15

I would be very happy, if only I had my 1st pick.
