Bargnani and Co. gets Contract Extension
Two seasons ago, we remember the Orlando Magic front office decided to make some changes by hiring a new and younger General Manager to head and lead the team's basketball operations, GM Chris Iceman was the perfect man for the job according to Orlando Magic's Senior Vice-President Pat Williams. Eventually the perfect man turned out to be the Magic's destroyer by trading supposedly franchise star player Dwight Howard and company to acquire another type of players in Andrea Bargnani and Michael Beasley, many fans were confuse on what could be the direction of their very own Orlando Magic with the trading of DH12, but it turn out to be a good move since Bargnani has been steadily improving in his game.
"Do I look cool being in Orlando Magic?" Definitely yes, look for Bargnani to lead the team again in scoring for the next season
Due to Bargnani's improvement and being the team's offensive leader, he was awarded with a 45.1M US Dollar contract extension for 5 years with the Magic.
The management also had decided to extend to expiring players before the season had ended, Lamarcus Aldridge got a 5 yr extension worth almost 52M and Juan Carlos Navarro also got a 5 yr extension amounting to 31M in US Dollar.
"I am Magic's Superman, the rebounds our mine"
Lamarcus Aldridge is a big factor in Magic's interior defense that's why the front office had decided to extend him, and hoping he will improve his inside offense this upcoming training camp.
El Capitan Juan Carlos Navarro proud to be the teacher of Ricky Rubio in Orlando
Juan Carlos Navarro on the other hand has been comfortable playing as the team's second stringer at the point guard position just next to Ricky Rubio and he has been contributing solid numbers off the bench for the Magic, granting him a contract extension with the team.
Orlando Magic players whose contracts expired this off-season and where not offered by the management a contract extension, had decided to test the free agency market are the following:
