It's not really a struggle.. =/
I mean, I think it's good that they had a close-ish game. It showed that they can make adjustments and not lose to a team they should beat.. *cough*Michigan*cough*

I don't know why you think UC is bad. They are a decent team. As for Virginia Tech, they wouldn't want to see UK, UC or any Big East team outside of Syracuse IMO.

UK would rape UC IMO.
Top 5 QB in the country and Little is a hoss.
and their defense isn't horrid.. like the school less than 100 miles away.

Something has to be said for Oregon State making the trip to Cincy across the country. It's no excuse, but I also don't think they are as bad as the score. With that said, UC crushed OSU in all phases, and the score could've been worse.
UC does play 2 former good teams who suck this year, Marshall and San Diego State, so they should be 5-0 before they start a brutal streak of games (@rut, LOU, @pit, @usf and 2 weeks later WVU). With that said, take care of business against conference pushovers UConn and Syracuse, UC will be 7-5 and going bowling again.
I think Oregon State will struggle to make a bowl game this year. They will be underdogs in at least 3 of their remaining games with @asu, UCLA, U-DUB and @wsu being toss-ups. Counting wins over Arizona and Stanford at home and 3 losses @cal, @usc and @ore, they will be 4-4 and need to win 2 of those 4 toss-ups to go bowling, possibly 3 depending who they need to impress, where they finish in the conference and how many bowl slots are open.
