can it be posted somewhere (in the rules thread maybe) how a maximum contract is determined for different players?
i know i should have asked before free agency, but i was misunderstood and confused about how much a max contract was and why its different for certain players

I honestly am not sure why it differs per person, if anyone that has played the game before knows it would be awesome to shine some light on this issue.

I'm not 100% sure but I think its something like this: 1-6 years of experience = 25% of softcap 7-9 years of experience = 30% of softcap 10+ years of experience = 35% of softcap

Id be interested in knowing how the rest of the league feels about max contracts. Stay with how the game does it or maybe me and Scott should come up with a certain set price...

FBB is probably doing it right for how it was at the time the game was built...there's been new CBA's since then so that can make it hard. The current one seems to indicate GSW is right on the max contracts. members.cox.net/lmcoon/salarycap.htm#11A quick check on Michael Redd and 35% is right on the button. I should be able to write a quick page that will find out the max contract for each player...could probably turn it into a contract calculator... I could use some help on the minimum contracts though

any thoughts from the owners, Commish, or Pres on what you'd like to see on the site for this?
