Soon, some lucky GM is going to win the Kenny George sweepstakes. Much rejoicing will no doubt follow in the NBL city he chooses to relocate to. But will he be worth it? Those who have seen the big man meander up and down the court are no doubt reminded of some of the greats that came before him. True behemoths of the game like the otherworldly Mark Eaton. There is a small contingent of scouts that have followed him who would have you believe that he has more in common with the Pale Skinned Monster then Yao Ming. A look at Eaton's career averages would point to a probable baseline for Kenny's career rather then an accurate gauge of his potential, Eaton's career blocks and bpg notwithstanding.
The real question isn't whether he will cause fans to pine for the days of Manute, Gheorge, and the aforementioned PSM. No, the real question is, as it was with many a giant before him, can he stay healthy? Whatever lucky club wins the Kenny Derby will no doubt need a team of physicians assigned to Kenny 24 hours a day. Otherwise, Mark may have competition for his Guinness Book of Records World's Tallest Auto Mechanic.
