Centers:
1) Shawn Houston - A true post up center, Houston will be an offensive force down low. He has a lot of room to grow and will need to become a better rebounder. His three years in college helped him grow and become an excellent defender which is why he is the number one center in the draft.
2) Max Edwards - 19 years old and 7 foot 1 frame make this kid the number two center in the draft. Not as skilled offensively as Houston, but might have more upside. He needs to put on some weight being only 225 lbs, but his skills will have him near the top of the draft
3) Eddie Calinoff - He might not have the skill or the drive of some of these guys, but you can argue with a 7 foot 4 body. The tallest guy in the draft along with Bryan Rosow, and will use that size to control the block. His drawbacks are that he needs to get better defensively and at rebounding.
4) Anthony Reeves - Being the nephew of Bryant “Big Country” Reeves has raised his draft stock quite a bit. He is 7-2 and is a very good rebounder and defender, but the only problem is you have to be on offense half the time. He needs to improve a ton offensively to become a force in the league.
5) Casey DeBusschere - When you talk about skills this guy isn’t always near the top. A decent defender, alright defensively, but his upside is where he is valuable. Scouts have been saying that with a few years in the NBA this guy could be pretty good. He’s more of a project than a NBA ready guy.
Power Forwards:
1) Alexander Guyton - The only power forward out there who might be worth taking early in the draft. Good defensively and has room to grow in his game. Needs to get better offensively and needs to become a better rebounder down low. Could become a future all-star, or could be a bust.
2) Gavin Ruiz - His game is pretty average all around, no real weak points, but no real strong points either. Pretty good sized at 6-9 and 251 lbs and as soon as he uses that size the better. He has a ton of potential and could turn into something special. One of the many projects that could go either way.
3) Battaile Malone - Speculators have been throwing around the idea of him being one of legendary power forward Karl Malone’s illegitimate children. Battaile and DNA records say otherwise, but his body says otherwise. Almost a twin visually, you wish his game was as good as Karl’s.
4) Matthew Lopez - Basically the same game as Ruiz, nothing really special, but no real weakness either. Needs to improve on his game, but has the potential to do that. If a team is willing to invest the time and effort into this prospect he could turn into an all-star caliber player.
5) Landon Levy - Not on the list for his skill or name, he is 7 foot and has amazing upside. Huge project for any team, but could pay huge dividends. Wont contribute for at least 3 years, but could be a force in the future. Great body at 7 foot and 259 pounds, everyone could use a guy that size.
Small Forward:
1) Wyatt Brown - A good scorer and pretty good defense puts Brown at the top of the small forwards list. With his amazing potential he will need to improve on his all around game to make an impact. His 6-10 frame doesn’t hurt his position in the draft.
2) Alejandro Heinsohn - Good defense and excellent potential will probably make him a lottery pick. He will need to improve on his scoring and also in his rebounding in order to raise up to the next level. He is one of those guys that will need to be groomed for a few years before he makes an impact.
3) Max McCutchan - Almost the exact player as Heinsohn, same size and same skill and probably interchangeable in their draft position. Excellent defense for a rookie will make him a lottery pick. He will need to improve on his scoring to become a force in the league.
4) Eric Yong - No real strong points in his game, basically average at everything. One thing he does have working for him is his 6-11 size. He will need to bulk up once he gets into the league since he is only 226 lbs. An excellent project guy in the middle first round.
5) Erick Crum - No real weak points in his game, but no real strong points either. His excellent potential will raise his draft stock and make him an ideal future pick. With a few years of training and hard work he could turn into a productive player.
Shooting Guard:
1) Logan Sura - The best all around scorer in the draft, Sura will likely go in the top 5 picks of the draft. He is widely known as a very good shut down defender and could guard the best player on the other team. Pretty good handles and good upside make the player a great prospect.
2) Griffin Peeler - Peeler is basically Sura, with less handles and way less defense. Which doesn’t mean that he is any less valuable as a prospect though. He also has good upside and could improve on any weak points in his game. Could eventually become an all-star.
3) Dylan Arizin - Great scorer, but cant do much else. He will need to use his tremendous potential to improve on his weak defense and ball handling. If he can do that he could become a great player. Look for him to go middle first round to a team that can groom him for the future.
4) Lavar West - West is basically Arizin without the great scoring. He is a pretty good outside scorer, but everything else in his game is pretty average. He has an amazing ability to quickly improve his game, and will need it in order to stay in the league a while.
5) Allen Charles - Charles is an excellent outside shooter, but lacks some essential basketball skills. He needs to improve his all around game and might need to ride the pine for the next 3 years or so. Excellent potential makes him go in the first round of the draft.
Point Guard:
1) Dennis Benjamin - An excellent defender, and one of the best ball handlers in the draft. Not a very good scorer, but his other skills make up for that. The sky is the limit for this guy and he could improve into one of the best point guards in the game.
2) Micah Coleman - The best ball handlers in the draft, Coleman needs to improve a bit on his defense, but his three point shooting makes up for some of that. He has pretty good upside, and could eventually become an all star caliber player.
3) Thomas Knight - He is the most NBA ready of all the point guards. He might not have as much upside as some of the players in the draft, but he could fit into any lineup immediately and play good minutes. An all around scorer the only thing he could use is a little more ball handling.
4) Al Scholl - Scholl is a pretty good outside shooter and at defense. If he is going to become a point guard in this league he will have to get better at handling the ball though. He has all the potential in the world, which is his greatest selling point .
5) Matthew Trent - Questions have surrounded Trent as to how much he wants to get better. He is the best outside shooter in the draft and has good ball handling skills. He will need to get better defensively and scouts have said that he does not take coaching very well and might slip down in the draft.
1) Shawn Houston - A true post up center, Houston will be an offensive force down low. He has a lot of room to grow and will need to become a better rebounder. His three years in college helped him grow and become an excellent defender which is why he is the number one center in the draft.
