wasn't sure where to post, so its here twice.
im just curious about this use of atc. its the only one not listed in a thread. and his first pick aminu is the only player in the league ( to my knowledge) that has at least A- in 5 out of 6 categories.
im not calling anyone out, but i'd like to see how they were used. i understand he was a very good player with high potential but is it possible that 20-30 atc could have improved him that much. i thought we had agreed that atc would be used in moderation until the new rule was applied. i think any more then 30 is an abuse of that agreement.
can this rookie really already be better then lebron? just looking for some clarification here

This is what happened.... i asked what it would take to improve those 4 specific cats.... as well as my other guys.... i worked with Cleveland for a few days and he sent me what it would take ATC wise for each of my guys then i would have to make decisions....
Here is MY ORIGINAL post to him.....
Quote: I would like to improve Robin Lopez potential back to an A(-, ,+) and id like his in-side scoring to improve as well as his Reb from A- to A.... Looking to spend 20 ATCs on him... What should i buy for him.... i know you cant guarentee but for all the guys im going to list i want recommendations.
Ryan Anderson I would like to improve his Def and Reb looking for recommendations... like to spend around 10 ATCs
Al-Farouq Aminu Looking to spend around 30 ATCs. Improve Inside outside both to A(-, ,+) level and improve his Def and reb both to A(-, ,+) levels... I dont mind spending a few more on him to put over the top but around 30 would be nice.
Jeremy Pargo I would like to use around 20 ATCs. Would like to improve IN/Out side scoring both and then rest in Def....
Lawson id like to spend 15 on improving pot and defense.
last Brandon Costner like 5 towards def....
That should be 100 ATCs out of my 102ish.....
I sorta dont know where specifically to put these and i believe you said you can give recomendations....so please help me out... you can tell me what specifically what to post if you need me to post it but wither way help me out please.....
........Then this was his responce.....
Ok heres suggestions on everything u mentioned
Robin Lopez No matter what u do his pot. wont go up from a b. Inside scoring, and arebounding will go to an a- both with 26 atc's overall.
ryan 10 would make rebounding improve a grade 15 would improve his defense
al 20 will improve his inside and outside to a- both 20 will improve his def and reb to a- both
pargo 20 will make his ins and outs scoring both a-
lawson pot. wont change. If you go to things u can spent atc points on, on the forums u can change this for a certain amount i just forget the amount.
15 will change his def to a-
costner- 10 will change his def to an b-
............I then started to post this stuff but realized that its not specific and he said he could just take care of it after i told him what to spend on which guys..... That was in IM so i dont have that saved... but i believe i spent like 26 on lopez he spent it so that it got what i asked for.. then like 23 on Ryan for what i asked for but that was just short getting full results... then i spent 40 on AL and again he put them where needed to be and then i spent my last 20 on pargo.... i couldnt do my other rookie or lawson... I asked him about posting what PRECISELY everything was spent on but i was told hed just do it in the system and it would be fine so i left it as that and just posted that ive used my ATCs. 40 were used on AL not WAYYYYY to many and withen the rules wheres i THINK but not certain others had spent that in total on others this offseason... i could be wrong though.

Quick Search gerald henderson had 43 so 3 more spent on him and FTR i too wouldnt mind seeing what specifically they were spent on but i also dont mind if there not posted... either way its done and i just cant wait to see how good he really will be now...

This is my exact issue with ATCs in general.
A guy that was drafted with 4 Bs (some B+ some B-) is now an instant super star.
But these are the rules and everyone had the same options as Detroit so more power to him. I would still like the entire system to go away so guys can progress naturally but it is what it is.

i dont really know what to think. i thought commish was in favor of the 15 atc limit and then he allows 40 and i guess 43 to be spent on rookies. we all had the same opportunity youre right. but i also saw others acknowledging the integrity of the league and keeping it to 15 and in some cases a few more then 15 were used.
i know for myself i knew 15 wasnt going to vastly improve any of my players because they are older. 40 atc prob couldve improved amare a great deal but i didnt really view that as fair.
i just feel like since pistons griped the most he was allowed more leniency in spending his. i know prob nothing can be done now, but for a rookie to be on par, if not better then lebron, is not realistic at all.

You guys, its over. This issue is a issue but id really like to see the league move on from this. What's done is done and we now have the 15 atc rule in for a reason and everyone sees the reason now.

It was legit. He didnt use too many where one would think that it was a insane amount. Just know that an issue of atc's will now not be a problem anymore.

Yea, it was legit from what I've seen, and I've been all over the message boards in the last 3 weeks to see the flow of comments and everything.
I still feel like people overestimate ATC usage. I spent 33 on Jamont Gordon hoping for some massive boost. A ton of that went to defense, I think 28 of those points could be considered to affect defense, and he jumped from a B+ to A-...wow.
Of course Lofton jumped from a high C+ to a B+ in inside scoring with 36 ATC's chucked in on inside scoring.
I'm thinking Aminu jumped quite a bit in training camp to a high B+ where he wasn't really that far away from A-, but certainly it was a big difference...exactly why we should have a 15 ATC limit.
I too feel like the Pistons whined on the behalf of selfish interests rather than the fariness of the league on the 15 ATC's now rather than later issue (his wording was suggestive toward league fairness at the time).
However, nowhere was it said that you could only put 15 ATC's toward a player this season. I think Commish mentioned "something crazy", but no numbers were put around it. I think in his mind that was 60 or so, maybe 50. In my mind, it should've been 30. Detroit had three players that he could've put 30 points into and been very happy about, I think. Since it wasn't defined, it's an irresponsible accusation to question the integrity of an owner for spending a certain amount.
I feel like there should've been some transitional limit, like 30 this season before the 15 next season, but what's done is done.
In my opinion, 40 is certainly too much. The league will improve next season with 15 ATC limits. I'll be the first one to hurt by it when I can't take Hawes way up in both strength and inside scoring if I sign him. I'll have to make tough decisions...exactly what should happen in sim leagues.

i dont think jazz was really questioning my integrity or the commishes for that matter more so he just wanted to see exactly what was spent and where and i dont blame him for that but ive known the jazz owner too long for him to have any reason of not trusting me.... Its atleast out there HOW MUCH i spent and sorta where... If the commish feels the need to put down specifically where he put the ATCs then so be it i wouldnt mind for certain. but i dont have the game and being this my first off season i didn't know where to put them and just took his advice. im not sure he would even have that information to where he put them... im not sure if it populates a spending log or anything.
