Introduction - Before I get into our system, here is a quick idea of how the game works. Each player has 17 ratings. 16 of them contribute to the overall ability of the player. These 16 ratings (excluding scouted potential which is simply the potential rating you see on the website and will never be touched) make up the 5 ratings you see on the website (Inside Scoring, Outside Scoring, Handling, Defense and Rebounding). Each is combined in a different way to effect the overall rating in those categories.
Potential
Inside Scoring
Jump Shot
Three Point Shot
Handling
Quickness
Passing
Stealing
Shot Blocking
Post Defense
Perimeter Defense
Drive Defense
Offensive Rebounding
Defensive Rebounding
Strength
Jumping
Scouted Potential (not applied to player's skill)
The NBL ATC system - Players will naturally improve or regress with simmed training camp each season, but this system offers an additional chance to improve a player. Based on record, each team will be awarded a certain number of points they can add onto any of the 16 categories listed above. They can be spent all on one, or on multiple attributes. Here is the breakdown:
(65 - Total Wins)/2 = Total ATC Points Awarded (rounded up)
So if the Suns win 58 games, they will receive (65-58)/2=3.5, or 4 ATC points rounded. They can add those to any of the 16 categories for any players they want. In this case, it would likely have a very small effect, but that is the point of having it based on wins, the weaker teams can improve faster. All points will be input into the file AFTER the simmed training camp is run. Teams can earn additional ATC's throughout the season for both team and individual accomplishments. See the ATC Credits forum for more details. If you need any help, feel free to ask me and I will try to guide you in the right direction as far as using points.
