Most of this is self-explanatory as I'm sure most, if not all of you have participated in basketball leagues before and/or know how they work. I'd like to just post a few reminders for people when making trades:
1. Please make sure the trade works. If you are over the cap, make sure the salaries match. If you are under the cap, please make sure you have room to take the salary.
2. Make sure you have roster spots. There is going to be a lot of movement as we start, players being bought out, players being traded and waived. Just make sure you can add the players without having a problem, I don't want to have to post "so and so must cut a player to make the trade go through."
3. LLE or MLE Exceptions can't be traded. This won't apply much early on, but for future reference, anyone signed to the 1-year MLE or LLE can't be traded at anytime during the season.
4. ATC's can't be traded. These are for your use only, to improve your players. They may not be dealt in any deal as of now. An exception might be made later on for trading them on draft night, but as of now, they may not be moved.
5. Both teams must confirm. This is pretty standard in all leagues, but both parties must confirm a trade to make it official. Teams have until their confirmation post to back out of a trade.
If there is anything else, ask Jeff or I, we will be happy to help.
