Knicks confirm.
This gives both teams a whole new look. The Knicks hated to part with Bargnani and Beasley as we really like big guys who can shoot the three, but it was too tough to pass on a star like Howard.

I dont think you are allowed to trade 1st rounders in back to back years so this deal may be voided

Good catch, not sure if we use this rule but:
In addition, teams are restricted from trading away future first round draft picks in consecutive years. This is called the "Ted Stepien Rule." Stepien owned the Cavs from 1980-83, and made a series of bad trades that cost the Cavs several years' first round picks. As a result of Stepien's ineptitude, teams are now prevented from making trades which might leave them without a future first-round draft pick in consecutive years.

if this trade will go through by putting an owed pick thread in this league so that we can trade two consecutive 1st rnders well that would be better...if not we had to re-work it...

This is true...although I think this trade is really borderline vetoable. More to come...

Knicks GM and I had agreed to re-work on the trade...taking away the 2010 first round..this is a fair trade for both teams and will benefit both...

The initial trade has been vetoed, 3 votes to 0. However, as soon as I get confirmation from Jeff or Brad that this new trade is ok, it can go through as I think it's fair enough.

IMO still easily a better deal for the Knicks but at least Orlando only gives up one lottery to be pick instead of 2.
Congrats to the Knicks, the East just got more interesting.
