TOP 5 #1: Gilbert Arenas , Washington Wizards (4-0) Arenas has his team at 4-0 and is the leading scorer in the NBA with 35.3 a game. Also averaging 8.5 assists a game as well. #2: Tim Duncan , San Antonio Spurs (5-0) Duncan has been one of the best players in the league for a while and he is the best player on the best team in the league. Putting up close to 30 with 29.2 a game and almost 11 rebounds per contest. Duncan earns the #2 spot for now. #3: Tracy McGrady , Houston Rockets (1-4) He's got A-Rod syndrome when A-Rod was in Texas. His team ain't all that great but hes putting up All NBA numbers. McGrady is scoring 34.6 a game, with 7 rebounds and 4.5 assists per contest. If McGrady can get some help around him theres no doubt he can be a MVP. #4: LeBron James , Cleveland Cavaliers (2-1) LeBron is no doubt an MVP type player every year ever since he got into the league. He's leading the Cavaliers again this year putting up 33 a game, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists per contest. If LeBron can get his assists up higher, he should move up these rankings quickly as he does everything well. #5: Carmelo Anthony, Denver Nuggets (3-1) Carmelo keeps proving and proving he is just as good as LeBron James. Without Allen Iverson, Carmelo has stepped it up early to lead his team to a 3-1 record scoring 30 PPG, grabbing 9 rebounds, and dishing 4.5 helpers per game. Carmelo is out to prove he is a mega star in the NBL.
