TOP 10
#1 : PHOENIX SUNS (21-7)
The Suns have unseated the San Antonio Spurs for the #1 spot in the power rankings. The hottest team in the NBL is 9-1 in there last 10 games and have done it the last couple games without Steve Nash. The big three of Marion, Nash, and Stoudemire are doing it all well for the Suns.
#2 : NEW YORK KNICKS (18-8)
The 2nd hottest team in the NBL is also our #2 in the rankings. The magic is back at the Garden. Fans are going nuts and the team is playing extremely well. Stephon Marbury is re-making himself helping out the team averging almost 10 assists a game but hes giving the rock up. Zach Randolph and Eddy Curry are just dominating the paint, but can this team keep it up?
#3 : DALLAS MAVERICKS (15-8)
The Mavs are on top of there division and are playing some great basketball especially at home where the have the third best home record at 10-2. Dirk Nowitzki and Josh Howard really make this team go, scoring at will out there, but Devin Harris is the key in our eyes. He can dish out the ball well to his teammates and proved it with his Player of the Week performance in Sim 4.
#4 : MIAMI HEAT (17-9)
The Heat are another pretty hot team in the NBL right now. They have the current top point scorer in the league with Dwayne Wade. Wade is putting up 35 a game and is tearing up the league with multiple 40 point performances. We are still waiting for the Diesel to step it up though, but this could be the end for the Diesel as he is slowing down.
#5 : BOSTON CELTICS (13-7)
The Celtics are another hot team in the toughest division in the NBL right now. There currently third in the division behind the Knicks and the Heat. Boston is currently led by the dominance of Paul Pierce and the great inside play of KG, and timely outside shooting by Ray Allen. Can this team hang with the elites though? We'll see in the coming months.
#6 : UTAH JAZZ (20-13)
The Jazz can defintley win the ball games, they just need some more help I think. With Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer doing most of the damage. Mehmet Okur really has gone down big time, struggling and not hes splitting time. AK 47 has come back around though and is becoming a very nice #3 option in the Jazz offense.
#7 : CLEVELAND CAVALIERS (13-9)
The Cavs are currently atop there division and LeBron James is obviously the reason why. His counter part Dwayne Wade is doing a lot better then him right now but LeBron still is one of the best in the game. Hughes , Z, and Gooden are doing well but they need to step it up even more in big games. They need to get a little tougher because im not sure if they could hang with some of the better teams in the East.
#8 : SAN ANTONIO SPURS (16-11)
Boy how times have changed. Once considered the Elite Team in the league has fallen down the ranks a little bit. Duncan and Parker having tremendous seasons right now but the others need to help step it up. The Warriors, Hawks , Lakers have all beaten the Spurs recentley . Not a good sign the Spurs need to step it back up to championship form.
#9 : TORONTO RAPTORS (15-11)
The Raptors have been pretty consistent all year long. Chris Bosh won Player of the Week honors and has really been a big force down low. Last years #1 pick overall Andrea Bagianai has really stepped it up as a scoring force and so has T.J. Ford. We like the make up of this team, and they should be a playoff contender.
#10 : SACRAMENTO KINGS (18-14)
The Kings have been solid all year long. They just picked up Jason Kidd and him and Mike Bibby in the backcourt dishing the ball off to Ron Artest, Abdur-Rahim, and Kevin Martin. Martin has been a disappointment and he needs to start scoring. If he does that, this team could be super dangerous come playoff time in the NBL.
