TOP 10
#1 : PHOENIX SUNS (37-13)
The Suns are by far the best team in the league right now. The highest scoring offense in the league avg. close to 109 a game. There up 9.5 games over the Kings in there division and are pretty much going to lock up home court advantage too.
#2 : MIAMI HEAT (25-16)
The Heat are the best team in the East but not by much. They have the leading scorer in the NBA right now and possibly the MVP of the league right now in Dwayne Wade. Wade is on fire, he can score at will and he's doing a damn good job of it leading the Heat for the tied best record in the East at the moment.
#3 : CHICAGO BULLS (25-16)
The Bulls are the hottest team in the league right now going 9-1 in there last 10 games. Led by there big three Deng, Gordon, and Hinrich and very good defensive play by Ben Wallace and Joakim Noah. The Bulls got the lead in one of the toughest divisons in basketball, if they can keep it up this will be there division to win.
#4 : BOSTON CELTICS (22-15)
The Celtics and Heat have been battling all year for first place in there division and it looks like these two teams are going to be nipping at each other heels all season long. There big three of KG, Pierce, and Ray Allen are doing extremely well, with also great point guard play from Rajon Rondo as well. I think the Celtics got more fire power then the Heat but you never know with Dwayne Wade.
#5 : SAN ANTONIO SPURS (29-20)
The Spurs are playing consistent ball like they usually do but other then Duncan, Paker, and Manu they are getting no help what so ever scoring wise. If something were to happen to one of these guys, the Spurs could be in some big time trouble. How far can there big three carry this team? Can they repeat?
#6 : UTAH JAZZ (29-21)
The Jazz I think have evened up with the Spurs, these two teams are going to battle it out for the title but dont forget about that team behind them as well. Boozer and Deron Williams are a strong one two all star punch and they can carry this ball club a long way. San Antonio is defintley losing there edge.
#7 : HOUSTON ROCKETS (26-19)
The Rockets are right on the heels of the Spurs and Jazz and I expect the Rockets to get into this division title hunt here soon. Yao Ming and T-Mac are really playing great ball, especially Yao who is dominating now. If T-Mac can pick his scoring pace back up to 30 look out for this team.
#8 : DALLAS MAVERICKS (25-19)
The Mavericks are right behind the Rockets, Jazz, and Spurs in there division but got a good record still. Devin Harris is down, but they got Mike Bibby to replace him. Dirk Nowitzki was traded now what??? Will this team fade or can Josh Howard carry them at all? We should find out soon.
#9 : NEW YORK KNICKS (23-19)
The Knicks have quickly faded after a #2 ranking in our last rankings. There still playing good ball, there still a playoff team but can they hang with Miami, Chicago, Boston?? It's hard to tell they got the guys to bang inside for sure, but can Jamal Crawford and Stephon Marbury be good enough to carry them? It's tough to say, only time will tell!
#10 : SACRAMENTO KINGS (28-23)
The Kings are one team to worry about after picking up last years MVP in a trade with Dirk Nowitzki. Can Dirk, Artest, and K-Mart carry the team? They should be in the playoffs for sure but it's yet to be known if they can hang with the big boys of the Western Conference.
