TOP 10
#1: GREG ODEN PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS
Oden has been dominate this whole season. He leads the league in blocked shots , averaging a double-double as he is scoring 17.6 per game, pulling down 11.4 rebounds a game, 3.3 assts, 1.7 steals, and 3 blocks a game! Pure beast, he's doing everything well. Probably going to be the Rookie of the Year.
#2: KEVIN DURANT SEATTLE SUPERSONICS
Kevin Durant is also having a awesome season. He's the heart and soul of the Seattle Supersonics. He is the king of there city , but he just can't surpass Oden. Durant though is having a monster rookie season with a rookie best 19.5 ppg, 8.8 rebs, 3.8 assists, and 1.3 steals a game. Durant will only improve though, he should be a better scorer then Oden as time progresses.
#3: JEFF GREEN SEATTLE SUPERSONICS
Jeff Green has been a extreme suprise to me. I did not think he'd be this good right off the bat but Green is doing everything very well too. Green won MVP honors in the Rookie-Sophmore game as the rookies beat the Sophmores. Green is putting up 19 ppg, 7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.4 steals a contest. Green and Durant will make for a deadly combo once they get some more help around them.
#4: BRANDAN WRIGHT GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS
Brandan Wright was regarded to many as the third best player coming out of the draft. He is proving it having a solid season for a team that is on the brink of making the playoffs as an 8 seed yet again. Wright is scoring 14.9 ppg, 9.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.2 blocks. The kid just does everything well but he fell down one spot in the rankings here because we are extremely impressed with Green and think he's a little bit better right now.
#5: JOAKIM NOAH CHICAGO BULLS
Noah has had an impressive rookie season showing off great defensive skills that he posses. Helping the best team in the East right now with the Bulls, Noah's defense has been a real big reason why the Bulls are one of the most successful teams right now. Noah is scoring 9.3 PPG, and pulling down 9.1 boards a contest. He also has 2 steals and 2.3 blocks a game. Very good defense from this young rookie, and not so bad offensive game either.
#6: JARVARIS CRITTENTON LOS ANGELES LAKERS
Crittenton is having a awesome rookie season for the playoff contending Lake Show. Crittenton is playing a real good PG for this team and is handling his business in LA. He's putting up 12.7 ppg, 4.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 1 steal a game. Very good numbers for this young man who has came in and started right away for a very talented Lakers squad.
#7: ACIE LAW IV ATLANTA HAWKS
Acie Law wasn't even on any of our lists but now that he is starting in Hotlanta he has become one of the best young rookies this season. Law is scoring 10.6 ppg, 4.8 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 1.2 steals. Very comparable numbers to Crittenton. Both kids though are having good rookie campaigns.
#8: MIKE CONLEY JR. MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES
The #4 pick in the draft Mike Conley is not having the big time numbers as some of the guys drafted around him but he is still having a decent year. Conley is the main man in Memphis dishing out the ball to everyone. Hes scoring 8 points per game, 4 rebounds, and 7 assists a game with 1.4 steals a contest. Very respectable numbers for this young man who is only going to get better.
#9: AL THORTON LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS
The young small forward for the Clippers is having a solid season playing along with Livingston and Brand in LA. Thorton is a big athletic kid and he is showing it so far this rookie campaign. He's scoring 10 ppg, 7.2 rebounds, 2.1 assts, 1.4 steals, and 1 block a game. Very good numbers for this young man who is only getting better and should become a nice offensive option for the Clippers.
#10: NICK FAZEKAS DALLAS MAVERICKS
Fazekas has taken over as the Mavericks keep big man and he is stepping it up a little bit since Dirk was traded. Nick is averaging 7.5 ppg, 7.6 rebounds, 2.1 assts, 1.1 blocks a game. If Nick can work on his offensive game a little bit it will help Mavs fans forget just a LITTLE bit about the trading of a Super Star in Dirk for basically nothing.....
JUST OUTSIDE---
Al Horford - Atlanta Hawks
Aaron Gray - Chicago Bulls
Corey Brewer - Minnesota Timberwolves
Spencer Hawes - Sacramento Kings
