TOP 10---
#1 : DENVER NUGGETS (20-2)
The Nuggets are by far the hottest team in the league at the moment. Though I doubted them in my Pre-season rankings, the Nuggets are by far the best offensive team in the league. With almost three guys scoring in double digits (Iverson, Artest, and J.R. Smith). Not to mention Dirk Nowitzki whos got 15 a game. Just insane scoring going on there. Right now there the best in the league and have shown no signs of stopping either.
#2 : ATLANTA HAWKS (12-5)
Another hot team is the Atlanta Hawks right now. They just made a big deal lost Josh Smith and Acie Law in trade but gained a star PG in Deron Williams and young star SG Ronnie Brewer. This team can also score with the best of them , Deron had a couple huge games in there last sim, Joe Johnson is still there scoring at will as well. The Hawks really don't have a dominate inside presence though and it might hurt them in the long run but for right now there outscoring teams.
#3 : PHOENIX SUNS (12-6)
The Suns were our pre-season #1 and there still one of the best teams out there. Stoudemire and Marion are just flat out dominating and you also got two time MVP Steve Nash just having another awesome season dishing the ball out averaging ALMOST 11 assists a game which is insane. They need to get some better play from there SG's though. There SG's are really hurting them at the moment and a good SG is important in this offense.
#4 : CHARLOTTE BOBCATS (11-5)
The Bobcats are also playing some great basketball right now. Some dominating defensive games so far including Emeka Okafor's back to back 10 block games early on in the season. Okafor is the leader of the team scoring 23.5 a game and pulling down 10 rebounds a game. Felton, Morrison, West, and young rookie Derrick Rose are all playing very good basketball right now for the defending Eastern Conference champions. This also includes giving one loss to the Denver Nuggets as well!
#5 : BOSTON CELTICS (15-7)
The Celtics are still a great team and there proving it every sim. KG, Pierce, Allen all having big time years yet again but there also getting key contributions from young PG Rajon Rondo, and Big Baby Glen Davis. The Celtics need to figure out a set line up though as some of there real good players are still on the bench. We'll see if Boston can figure out what there doing but something must be working right now.
#6 : SACRAMENTO KINGS (11-5)
The defending champions are playing some good basketball at the moment with Carmelo just flat out dominating and carrying this team. They got Hawes, Kidd, and Martin all scoring 15 a game but really dont have a dominate bench guy. That could be hurting the production a little bit but we will see how the Kings do as the season wears out. I think the jury is still out on them.
#7 : CLEVELAND CAVALIERS (13-8)
The Cavaliers led by King James are quietly having a good season. Behind the Hawks and Bobcats at the moment, the Cavs though are getting some good play from some other key members. Including young PG Daniel "Boobie" Gibson. Boobie has been lights out just about putting up 16.5 a half game, and 9 assists. Gooden and Z are playing a strong front court for them right now as well and that gives the Cavaliers some incredible balance. Keep your eye on this team.
#8 : MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES (14-10)
The Grizzlies have been a very surprising team this season. Young O.J. Mayo is showing just exactly why he was the #1 pick overall in the past draft. He's averaging 20 points a game in his young rookie season! The other big weapon for the Grizzlies has been Pau Gasol. He's putting up 20 a game for them and dominating inside. Rudy Gay, Hakim Warrick, and also two years ago #4 pick overall Mike Conley Jr. all having incredible seasons for them and this team continues to get better and better each time out on the floor.
#9 : SAN ANTONIO SPURS (12-10)
The Spurs have been a disappointment so far in our eyes. There usually a dominate team but this season there struggling a bit. There big 3 are still there and producing but are they getting much else? No one on there bench is scoring more then 6 a game and that is really hurting them. I have faith in these Spurs though and they will start showing up sooner rather than later.
#10 : MIAMI HEAT (7-6)
The Miami Heat have been a somewhat suprising team early on. No Diesel in the middle anymore but young Hasheem Thabeet isn't doing to badly. D Wade is leading this team and carrying it but also young Daequan Cook is having a great season scoring 16.6 a game for the Heat. Antonie Walker, Udonis Haslem, Chris Quinn all guys you wouldn't expect are having some good seasons for the Heat. The Heat don't have much of a dominate inside presence and much of a scoring threat other than D Wade. We'll see how this team plays throughout.
