It took me longer then I wanted to get to the other side of the East, the Central Division but here is my review.
Atlanta Hawks - young Shelden Williams anchors the middle for the Hawks. At the moment he really is a defense first, rebounding second and offense a very late third type of guy. His 2.9 blocks a game is very impressive and his 10 boards are nice but he is not ready to handle the ball and be part of the offense.
Charlotte Bobcats - Emeka Okafor is the All Star center for the Bobcats. He is one of a kind in the league. He is a 25/10 guy and blocks 3.5 shots a game including some 10 block games this year. Really nothing left to say, if you don't know Okafor then it is probably time for you to quite the league.
Chicago Bulls - they have plenty of big men between Ben Wallace and Aaron Gray. Gray seems to have some inside moves but badly lacks defense. Ben is the opposite, he plays great defense but can't play any offense. Between them you would have a great center but separatly you probably have two inadequate centers.
Cleveland Cavaliers - if you can pronounce his name then you are a better man then me. Zydrunas Ilgauskas is the center for the Cavs. He used to be a fairly complete center and a 7 foot 3 and imposing figure in the middle but at 32 he doesn't seem to have much gas left. Looks like a 12/10 guy from here on out.
Detroit Pistons - Detroit is rebuilding and it wont be around their center Nazr Mohammmed. He should be a backup on a decent team as he brings some defense rebounding but as a starter he is awful. Really no special skills to speak of.
Indiana Pacers - Bogut is an interesting guy, he was a former #1 pick that was supposed to be a great post player with great size but not a shot blocker. So far, that is what he has been. He looks like he will be a 20 point scorer at some point but you don't get the shot blocks that you may want from the man in the middle. He looks to be a perfect guy to pair with an athletic PF.
Milwaukee Bucks - they have four guys listed at center but realistically Randolph Morris and Troy Murphy hold down the middle. Neither are complete players but not a bad combination. Both have some offensive skills and some defensive skills and rebounding skills. Neither will be making any All Star teams but are probably competent.
Toronto Raptors - Bosh is just a step behind Okafor. He is a bit skinny to play the middle and may enjoy PF a bit more but he is a legit 20/10 guy and great shot blocking instincts. Would love to see this guy next to a true seven footer who can just grab boards and not have Bosh pount against centers that out weigh him by 50 pounds each night.
The Central has some true beasts in Bosh, Bogut and Okafor but the rest of the teams are a bit thrown together at C.
Overall Rankings:
8 - Detroit Pisonts - Nazr just sucks
7 - Chicago Bulls - two half players in Gray and Wallace
6 - Atlanta Hawks - Shelden may grow into something but needs offensive help
5 - Cleveland Cavs - Zydrunas Ilgauskas should be ok for another year or two but not dominant anymore
4 - Milwaukee Bucks - decent pair between Murphy and Morris but nothing special
3 - Indiane Pacers - Bogut is very good offensively but needs a shot blocker along side him
2 - Toronto Raptors - Bosh is a complete package but perhaps more of a PF
1 - Charlotte Bobcats - Okafor is cream of the crop
