Pheonix Suns
This is a very balanced team. They all score when needed, board, and move the ball well. Basically the Suns team everyone loves to watch. They put up 106 ppg, good for 5th in the league
Sacramento Kings
This is now the Melo show, but he does have some very good backup. All starters average over 10 ppg. Thats good because they don't have a lot of bench help.
Matchups
Center: Amare Stoudemire vs Spencer Hawes
STAT's rebounds are down a bit but he can still put points on the board. Hawes is more defensive with 2 bpg more than Amare. I don't think Hawes can run with the more experienced STAT though. Small advantage Suns
Power Forward: Shawn Marion vs Jamaal Magloire
The Matrix is an animal. Enough said. Advantage Suns
Small Forward: Boris Diaw vs Carmelo Anthony
Diaw is slightly better cleaning the glass and on D but Melo scores 2x as many points per game. Advantage Kings
Shooting Guard: Raja Bell vs Kevin Martin
Martin scores more and moves the ball better. Advantage Kings
Point Guard: Steve Nash vs Jason Kidd
These are two of the best PGs in the current era and probably ever. They both fit the systems they are in really well. Advantage Split
Bench
The Suns really utilize their bench well and have some solid pieces there. The Kings get a lot of help from Shareef Abdur-Rahim, but that's about it. Advantage Suns
Outlook
These guys had a pretty crazy series during the season. They split their games, but the Kings won by an average of 24.5 pts. The Suns beat the Kings by 12 just 10 days ago, so maybe they finally figured out how to beat them. It looks to be an interesting series.
