Golden State Warriors
This is a another evenly balanced team. All starters score over 12 ppg. This team is small and loves/has to run the ball. Al Harrington is their biggest guy weighing in at 250 but he is only 6'9". Center Brandan Wright is only 6'10" 200 lbs. They have 6 guys that come off the bench and play over 10 mpg, but they don't get huge production out of any of them.
Houston Rockets
This is still the Yao/McGrady show, but they do get some pretty decent help from Chris Wilcox and Chuck Hayes. These guys are the opposite of the Wariors; they just want to sit in their half court offense and let Yao do his thing. They don't have good enough distribution at the PG spot to do much else.
Matchups
Center: Brandan Wright vs Yao Ming
This is going to depend on the pace of the game. Wright will run circles around Yao in a fast game, but Yao will lock Wright in the chamber for good if the Rockets set up their half court offense. Small advantage Rockets
Power Forward: Al Harrington vs Chris Wilcox
Al passes better while Wilcox boards better. I think Wicox can run if he needs to. Advantage split
Small Forward: Michael Redd vs Chuck Hayes
Hayes has the advantage on the boards with size, but Redd will keep him outside and keep dropping daggers on him. Advantage Warriors
Shooting Guard: Monta Ellis vs Tracy McGrady
Ellis actually out scores TMac by a point a game, but McGrady is the more complete player. Slight advantage Rockets
Point Guard: Baron Davis vs Derrick Low
Low is going to be good, but he's not there yet. Advantage Warriors
Bench
The Warriors really utilize their bench well and have some solid pieces there. The Rockets get decent help from Shane Battier and the Franchise, but that's about it. Advantage Warriors
Outlook
The Warriors have won all four of the matchups this season. Ellis has dominated the Rockets by putting up 19, 28, 33, and 38. Looks like the Warriors controlled the pace every time. If that continues, the Rockets are in for a short series.
Prediction
Warriors in 5
