AP Report

Stolen Email Surfaces (what do you think)
This email was just obtained through unidentified sources and may be considered fairly controversial. This is the Voting thoughts of the owner of the Detroit Pistons Sports Group and were posting for you too all see. Votes are not ment to be seen by the public but because it was intercepted we are posting for public display. Being from the AP and not actually associated with the Detroit Paper we feel its ok to stir up a bit of controversy and get the league talking about who there voting into the All Star Game this yr.
"I know this may not be how vote supposed to go but I FEEL THAT IF WE VOTE FOR ONLY ONE THEN Best may not always get recognized. I personally think a first place vote gets 3 2nd gets 2 and third gets 1 and then you add it up from there. then even if someone votes for there Fav guy although hes not the best people wont get screwed. IE me voting for lawson. i dont think hes the best PG(YET but someday maybe) but you would also get votes for my other two...
EASTERN CONFERENCE
1ST PG CHOICE: Tywon Lawson (have to take the guy from my team, represent)
2ND PG CHOICE: Gilbert Arenas (IMO my most deserving)
3RD PG CHOICE: Deron Williams (Easily second best Eastern Con. (EC)PG)
1ST SG CHOICE: Paul Pierce (This another 1A 1B situation but ill take the vet, Rose will get his chances).
2ND SG CHOICE: Derrik Rose (can be argued best EC SG but ill take the vet one more yr).
3RD SG CHOICE: Andre Iguodala (A few good third options but ive always liked him).
1ST SF CHOICE: Tayshaun Prince (James better but i think Prince deserves some respect and may be second best SF overall in the EC).
2ND SF CHOICE: LeBrone James (HANDS DOWN BEST SF IN THE EC)
3RD SF CHOICE: Loul Deng (Putting up some great stats Best SF Brds 3rd in Pts for SF)
1ST PF CHOICE: Dwight Howard (1A vs Garnett being 1B but it seems like Howards time to take over)
2ND PF CHOICE: Kevin Garnett (1B you cant go wrong with KG but his stats are a bit down from his MVP seasons.)
3RD PF CHOICE: Yi Jainlian (him or Boozer could be third option but Yi has been playing great and gets more blks).
1ST C CHOICE: Emeka Okafor (Hands down across the board most deserving).
2ND C CHOICE: Jermaine Oneal (I dont have a consensus number 2 so ill take the Vet vs a younger kid. Think he brings more Def then Frye).
3RD C CHOICE: Channing Frye (Seems to be coming into his own this yr and has bit better stats across the board then Randolph although Zach has them beat in Pts and Brds).
WESTERN CONFERENCE
1ST PG CHOICE: Chris Paul (Best of the West but i think the top 3 in the east may all be better IMO)
2ND PG CHOICE: Allen Iverson (his stats may be declining a bit but still leading all WC pgs in 3P%2nd in pts and across the board very solid)
3RD PG CHOICE: Tony Parker (You have to get a 10 Ast guy in there and hes the only one. You can argue Foye but ill take the older guy if the west wants a chance)
1ST SG CHOICE: Dwyane Wade (Doesnt lead in scoring but in the top 3 SGs in the WC for Pts ast and Brds plus solid across the board. will see if being traded helps or hurts him)
2ND SG CHOICE: Josh Howard (Some would argue Kobe but leading SGs in scoring and solid across the board he gets my 2nd vote)
3RD SG CHOICE: Kobe Bryant (Are his stats suffering cause of wade. Im not sure but he may not be the best SG on his OWN team let alone the WC)
1ST SF CHOICE: Ron Artest (he may not be a fan favorite but hes having a GREAT YR. May be a MVP candidate this year and i think hands down best SF in the WC)
2ND SF CHOICE: Carmelo Anthony (Coming up big leading his top rated Denver team)
3RD SF CHOICE: Kevin Durant (Playing great trying to lead the sonics back to relevance. Give another yr or two he should be among the top Vote getters at at least the SF position)
1ST PF CHOICE: Greg Oden (Oden is a beast. 2nd in points and leads PFs in brds ast and blks)
2ND PF CHOICE: Tim Duncan (Having a GREAT yr for and old man and in a normal yr he may be top guy but ODEN is the real deal and Duncans run at top PF is over)
3RD PF CHOICE: Shaun Marian (Brand would be another good option but Matrix is SOOOO good across the board that i have to vote him third)
1ST C CHOICE: Yao Ming (1A to Amare 1B. Yao has blocks and FT% by a hain and our vote by the same)
2ND C CHOICE: Amare Stoudimire (1B. Hes a stud and a few yrs younger then Ming so may be around for a while if knee holds up)
3RD C CHOICE: Chris Bosh (May be a close 1C choice. He gets more boards and =to or > then in Blks but 5 less PPG keeps him in third in this close vote)"
Well thats what we obtained. What does the public think of this owners Vote. Is it fair to not ALWAYS vote the best? Do others vote for there own players over better to get them recognized? Should Owners vote for more then one player? Is there a way to FAIRLY divvy out votes so even if theres favoritism theres still the best in there? I for one think these all should be talked about. How about you?
