[glow=red,2,300]First Round(Lottery) Mock Draft[/glow]
#1. Pistons - SF Al-Farouq Aminu, Wake Forest
Easiest pick in the mock, guaranteed to be correct.
#2. Nets - SG Gerald Henderson Jr., Duke
All during the season, the Nets attempted to aquire a shooting guard. Now they have thier chance to select the best in the league. The SG position is very weak in this draft, Henderson is the only for sure bet.
#3. Magic (from Mavs) - SF Danilo Gallinari, Italy
They get the 2nd best SF in the league who has the handles to play the 2 or the 3. A starting 5 of Rubio, Gallinari, Beasley, Bargnani, and Aldridge will be superb for years to come.
#4. Timberwolves - C Andrew Ogilvy, Vanderbilt
The T-wolves could go any number of directions... PG could also be a nice selection here. Ogilvy is nice offense but his defense has alot to be desired.
#5. Hawks- PF Blake Griffin, Oklahoma
Moving Bosh back to C, Griffin isnt the #1 choice for the Hawks. His loyalty is low but he should be a good defensive presence down low.
#6. Bucks - C Marreese Speights, Florida
Not alot of holes for the Bucks, a back up for Morris could be in the cards. Most likely BPA will be the pick.
#7. Wizards - SF Earl Clark, Louisville
Wizards need a SF in the worst way.. wishing Gallinari fell, they settle for Clark. A good overall player in his own right.
#8. Cavaliers - C B.J. Mullens, Ohio State
Need a replacement for Brad Miller. Easy pick here.
#9. Magic - PF Patrick Patterson, Kentucky
Second pick of the lottery, the Magic grab a nice defensive PF to work in behind Bargnani.
#10. Jazz(from Sonics) - PG Jrue Holiday, UCLA
Jazz sneak into the lottery and snag the 1st and best PG in the draft. With Marcus William a FA-to-be, this is a steal of a pick.
#11. Magic (from Jazz) - SG Russell Westbrook, UCLA
The third lottery pick from the Magic, they select the 2nd Bruin in a row. SG is a real weakness for the Magic and between Westbrook and Gallinari running the 2 they will be in good shape.
#12. Clippers - PF J.J. Hickson, North Carolina State
Clips need a PF to replace the seemingly departing Elton Brand. Great defender, over time Hickson can develope into a nice scorer as well.
#13. Warriors - SF Victor Claver, Italy
They could use help at center, but have two youngins tied up long term. Replacing Al Harrington who could be leaving via FA should be their #1 priority. Claver is the best SF left and with some time could turn out to be a steal.
